This image is a single frame that was conceived and executed over a period of several months while the crew finished moving earth and the sun moved into position to provide a rainbow for the riders.

Yes, I've been there- under a dragline.
As a young photographer and cinematographer I was always in the thick of it. Be it getting the shot of a dragline working in a open pit mine, covering the building of dams, pipelines or railroad construction. I was always in front and I continue to push the limits in search of the ultimate image.
